This was a beautiful beach wedding on the North shore of Oahu. Jackie and Jason were the coolest couple, they were so down to earth with a laid-back attitude. if we could say one thing about the bride, it would be that she had the most picture perfect beautiful smile.

Engagements photos are a fun way to do a test shoot with your photographer and get to know them better, remember the more you know your photographer the more natural and relaxed you will be on your wedding day.

Aloha Everyone,
were back again and we had the pleasure of shooting Carey and Kevin Tomimatsu’s wedding, on May 17th, 2008 at Willows Restaurant. The wedding was awesome! We had a chance to meet a lot of new friends and also some old ones. Ok, just playing around and experimenting with self portraits. As a photographer we take so many photos of everyone but ourself. still finding a way to take cool self portrait stuff. This is me geeking on the computer, nothing special just me in black and white.

The best time to shoot portraits is at the ”Golden Hour” about 30 minutes before sunrise/sunset and the 30 minutes after. There is about an hour window to get a few magical shots. 

Sunset, is the time at which the Sun disappears below the horizon in the west. It should not be confused with dusk, which is the point at which darkness falls. Read more

Have you ever heard of the photographer, Dave Hill? probably not, but check out his images www.davehillphoto.com. He has a special look like he illustrates his images, but if you look at it closely, the images are real photos. It’s in between fantasy and real life, making his images have the surreal look to them.

This has inspired me to play with lightroom and photoshop more to create my own Dave Hill look. check out some of my test images that i have played with for now.
