The best time to shoot portraits is at the “Golden Hour” about 30 minutes before sunrise/sunset and the 30 minutes after. There is about an hour window to get a few magical shots. Sunset, is the time at which the Sun disappears below the horizon in the west. It should not be confused with dusk, which is the point at which darkness falls.
